Welcome Home...

A nice uplifting commercial that I never saw on tv....

It looks like a recruitment commercial for minorities, all people of color and one white woman.

It's a beautiful commercial, I do think the troops deserve a standing ovation. Many of them don't agree with the war, but they serve our country none-the-less. I don't see how people could disrespect the troops during the Vietnam and Korean wars, after all it takes more guts to fight it out than to run.

I saw it before, online. I guess it didn't sell enough beer.

During the Vietnam war the peace movement made a terrible mistake by blaming the troops for the war. This time there is more clarity and maturity about it. Because protest has been so polite and peaceful, unfortunately, it has also had less visibility and less effect on the political process.

MrsGrapevine, I didn't come away with the commercial with that idea. I had to watch it again. I saw a mixture of races, men, and women.
I do agree with you that our troops always derserve thanks for their service. I have nothing but disdain for those who attacked our trrops during the Vietnam & Korean conflicts. It made me sick to read about a woman spitting on a service man from Iraq at some airport on the West Coast.

Thanks for your comments, Rotus. I find that people on certain sides of a political argument can be mean, disgusting, and forget their own standards. Some demand that others have an open mind while expecting that everyone else compromise in their favor and they don't have to budge an inch...

You're right, it's a beautiful commercial. I've never see it either. Whatever the reason for it, our military personnel definitely deserve to be appreciated.

Thanks Sheila. As soon as I stumbled upon it on YouTube, I knew I had to post it on my blog.

All service memebers should be thanked regardless of what branch they serve in.

Commercials such as this however only seemed to think there is only one branch fighting the war on terrorism in the US and Iraq. I challenge you to come up with a commercial that shows the Air Force and the Navy. Good Luck in you hunt.
