Will this work?
According to FoxNews, "Billboards make their debut in the Dallas area Tuesday urging Texans: "Don't Be Lame, Elevate Your Game."
Dallas City Hall kicks off its ad campaign in the anti-saggy pants battle to advise people to "Pull'em Up" with more than two dozen billboards.

Some billboards, including "Represent Yourself Like You Present Yourself," and "That's Not Hip-Hop That's Flip Flop" will go up at busy intersections and highways.""
Do you think the city should even bother getting involved with this?...

I think it will take more than billboards to get people to dress more appropriately, and I don't really think it is the government's job to teach people how to dress. (that's what's parents are for)
Can't cure tacky dress habits with billboards.
I wish that could work...hey, at least they stopped selling those pants that have the underwear sewn in so that it has the same effect!
Rather drastic move over some saggy pants.
Having been raised in Dallas and around those city politics and moving from their, just next door mind you to Fort Worth, Dallas is one of those cities that needs to be worried more about the government officers than the citizens.
That city stopped making sense a long time ago. Ironically, much of this was started by a pastor last year.
Oh wow everytime I come here it's like coming back home....Dallas is my hometown!! But, it has grown so much I don't even recognize it anymore. Congrats on making hot community it is a well deserved honor of which I have yet to acgieve!! Wow Dallas.....it's always nice to remember home!!
The concept gets an 'A' for effort, but making such a movement starts at home and in the communities that we live in. If the youth of today can be raised to take pride in their appearance, then there will be less of them wearing their pants half-off their ass.

What the hell? What is wrong with saggy pants?
As FUNNY and creative as this is and it IS... I think it's just a waste of money.
It might be better if they had a pants police who would consist of a 7ft 275 pound guy who would run around pulling these kids pants down and a group of girls to point and laugh.
Also do are they thinking of applying this to plumbers, electricians and the like? Granted the dropping pants are annoying but when crack is involved is just horrifying.
For More Info not about this though
Can we get these a-holes to straighten their hats while we're at it?
Jeans at the knees...underwear hanging out...hat on sideways...
I dressed my Dapper Dan doll better when I was 3 years old and couldn't even work the damn buttons.
What weird ads!
Classy! haha
Perhaps they don't have anything better to do?
On the other hand, if that would help eliminate butt crack exposure, that could be pretty darn useful.
I saw this on the news and my first thought was "what a total waste of money." These people aren't going to pull up their pants because a huge sign tells them to.
Funny story:
A group of boys were running across a main street, all of which had pants on that were really baggy. As they were running one of the boys pants fell down really low. He ended up tripping over them and then fell in the middle of the street in on coming traffic. Stupid, I tell ya!
Every generation makes bad fashion statements! Come on! Ignore it and do not give it so much attention then it will fade away as most trends do!
We need to really ask WHY,the saggy pants epidemic bothers us so much.
Anyone who was a teenager knows that parents cannot be ever present to monitor the experimental efforts of their children clothing choices.
Put this billboard next to the one stating that oral sex IS sex for teenage girls!
Just maybe those lipstick parties that your sons (without the saggy pants)and daughters participate in will come to an immediate halt!
Yeah,right.
Refocus your attention people.
They are worring about people sagging ther pants, when there is people out there that have no pants to sag. They need to quit worring about dress codes and worry about other things going on around the area. These people that are sagging there pants are not hurting anybody. Is it fair for the ladies that wear low cut Pants and have there G string showing. I dont think so. So where do we draw the line.
If my tax money went to that garbage, I'd be calling the local reps and ripping them new arse's!
Couldn't the money better be spent on billboards for Hooters? LOL
I've never seen anything like it.
Isn't it difficult to walk with your pants hanging down like that?
Well, I don't think this new fad is for me and at least they are wearing underwear... it could be worse.
That billboard's is curiously funny. Which is more militant?
"Don't be lame, elevate you game. Pull 'em up!" or
copying the guy with the baggy saggy pants? I think a revolt is on the way. HaHaHa. Sorry, but I just don't see fun stuff like this in my country. There is a saying - Life imitates Art.
It seems to me that Texas has more to worry about than spending money on billboards about saggy pants (although it’s a personal pet peeve of mine.) I’d think raising awareness of boarder control and illegal immigration would be a little higher on the Texan’s list of things to spend money on.
None the less it’s a comical campaign which will sadly fail. Now get snoop dog to say saggy pants are out of style and they will disappear off the wastes of our misguided youth before you can say “krunk.”
I always wondered if the guys with the real saggy pants would feel silly having to run w/the saggy pants. Imagine them running down the sidewalk while holding up their pants...
I'm from Dallas and I haven't seen this one yet. Sad how they use slang to reach the youth.
@Sabrina: Amen, the city council under federal investigation and school district is corrupt. They definitely need a billboard for city officials.
Lastly, they didn't put up billboards in the 70's when men were wearing pants so tight you saw their prostate.
...posted about this too.
I think the city should not only get involved, it should be a criminal offense.
I can't tell you how many episodes of cops we've seen where the saggy pants, foils the criminal - the cops just have to give chase for a minute before the guy goes down because of his knee clothing!
