In some Asian countries people use water to clean themselves instead of toilet paper.

Thanks for the feedback, Footiam. I hope people (esp Americans) read the whole story at BBC.

When I was in Japan it was all about bidets...I could totally see relying on those instead of TP.

That is gross. I could not image the smell. eating cheese and berries all the time is gross too. no way I am thankful for what I have and would never pick to live that way. That is about as gross as the family on wife swap the other night eating raw meat. What has are nation come too.

"No impact" man was on The Colbert Report this past April. Check out Comedycentral.com for the comic interview.
According to a New York Times Article published March 18, Colin wants to emit no carbon dioxide (so no driving or flying). Doesn't emitting no carbon dioxide also mean no breathing??? Hilarious!
In Dec, 2007, "The fridge will come back, but will be used minimally" says Colin. What does that mean? I hope he doesn't think filling his fridge half way will save him half the energy ;)
